Cristy LeAnn Hall-Ederer, FNP-BC, is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Cristy earned her BSN from Fort Hays State University and her Doctorate in Nursing, with a focus in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program, from Oklahoma City University where she graduated with Highest Honors. Her focus, while obtaining her doctorate, was on overweight and obesity and how to make a change.
Prior to joining Let's Get Thin MD in October of 2017, Cristy was a travel nurse working in Open Heart ICU and Trauma ICU. She was also a part of Code Teams as a traveling nurse and also taught ACLS, PALS, and BLS. Cristy’s interest for weight management came from her own personal experience. Weighing, at one time 400 pounds, she has learned how to manage and think differently about food and exercise to improve her overall health. From this experience came the desire to pass on her knowledge to others and help her patients improve their own health through support, counseling, healthy eating, and regular exercise.
Cristy originally grew up in Kansas and now resides in Cheyenne, Wyoming with her husband, son, and 2 puppies. Cristy enjoys lifting weights and cardio when she isn’t at work, but her favorite thing to do is travel and see family.Professional affiliations include the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Wyoming Nurses Association, Colorado Nurses Association, and Oklahoma Nurses Association.
